Born, Kristal Monique Nembhard on October 12, 1993, at Winthrop University Hospital, New York to Donovan and Phyllis Nembhard. She was the welcomed and much anticipated sister to big brother Andrew, 5 years her senior. Kristal relocated to Florida with her mother, she was still a young child.
Kristal began her formal education at Harvest Christian Academy here in Orlando in kindergarten and remained there through the completion of middle school. Her passion for learning was evident to all within her sphere, and consistently remained at the top of her class throughout her education. She attended the all new Wekiva High School to complete her secondary education. She brought notoriety to the school sports department by winning the state championship in weightlifting. Kristal maintained a positive view of life through all endeavors and was the champion of all her challenges.
Kristal began her undergraduate study at Stoneybrook University in New York. During the two years she spent at Stoneybrook, Kristal the young woman became an adult. She studied Archeology, Japanese and made lifelong friends. To round out her curriculum she became a color guard in the marching band.
Kristal was always an artist. She was creative. She discovered an outlet that would combine the two talents. Over the summer after Stoneybrook, she enrolled at Seminole College to complete her associate degree. Shortly after receiving her Associate’s, she enrolled at the University of Central Florida where she obtained her Bachelor of Art degree.
Not wasting anytime, she decided to get her Masters. This was completed at the same University, Interactive Entertainment Academy. While earning this degree, she interned at 3D Modeling and Texturing E2i Creative Studio. Finally, the education that would combine her talents to create with her artistry; and produce Kristal, the virtual artist, and launched her career, secured her a job with Sony as a Visual Effects Artist at Naughty Dog LLC.
