Lauriate Andrews Khan was born in Lahore, Pakistan, to Lindsey and Augusta Khan on July 10th, 1968. Lauriate moved to the United States in 1988 at the age of 20. He attended Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, SC and Embry Riddle University in Daytona Beach, FL.
Lauriate was affectionately known as Khan to his immediate family and friends. He loved traveling, going to the beach, cold beer, working out and a well-manicured lawn. His favorite travel destination was London, where he visited his family, took in the historical sights, and indulged in their variety of culinary offerings. Khan was the selfie king. Whether he was home or abroad, you could count on more than a few selfies to be taken and shared with those he loved. Khan had the brightest smile that would bring warmth and joy to any room he entered. Khan built a career with U.S. Airways and American Airlines at the Orlando International Airport. He proudly served as a ramp Crew Chief for over 20 years. He was incredibly proud of his work and was deeply loved by his coworkers, family, and friends.
Lauriate Khan was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Augusta Khan. Lauriate is survived by his life partner, Katie Podeswa, and her daughters Annika and Madeline Podeswa, his daughter, Ayesha (Esha) Iupe, her husband, Andrew, his grandchildren, Andrew (Drew) Jr. and Sonny, and his brother, Lincoln Khan.
