Libia Ramirez Zaldivar, 77, of Orlando, Florida, departed this life Saturday, September 6th, 2014. She was born October 8th, 1936 in Cuba to the late Vicente Ramirez Rodriguez & Lilia Matilde Castro. Here in Orlando, she was a member of St. John's Vianney Catholic Church; and, just this year, she was officially recognized as one of the Original of the Classiest Latin Ladies to ever live in Orlando. Everywhere she went she was mistaken for Elizabeth Taylor, for her look & for her glamour. An avid Latin dancer, Libia designed her own dancing dresses, always sparkling, especially in her favorite green. She adored shopping at Dillard's, and everyone knew that she was a relentless prankster!
A beloved homemaker, Libia is survived by her loving husband, Rafael E. Zaldivar, Sr., and her beloved children, Rafael E. Zaldivar, Jr., Libia M. Ortiz (Jorge L.) and Richard L. Zaldivar (Denise C.E.); her grandchildren, Jorge L. Ortiz, Brittany N. Zaldivar, Richard Zaldivar, Jr., Rafael E.H. Zaldivar, Gabriella N. Zaldivar and Natalia C. Zaldivar; and, 2 great-grandchildren, Jorge Ethan Ortiz and Sebastian James Ortiz.
Libia is preceded in death by her brother, Rolando Ramierez Castro & her grandson, Alex H. Zaldivar.
Her family would like to invite those of you attending the Wednesday visitation to dress in elegant, formal evening-wear to honor Libia's memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to the direction of Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Gotha, FL.
