

Lillian Pearson Woodman, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13th, exactly one week before her 99th birthday. She told her family that she was ready to meet God. Her spirit remains with her children. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Berry and her husband Michael, sons, Charles Woodman and his wife Lisa, David Woodman and his wife Cheryl, and James. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, John and Richard Berry, Kathryn Woodman, Jamie Gill and his fiancé Courtney, Jennifer Woodman, and Jessica Benn and her husband Hunter. Lillian also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Bentley Gill and Harper Benn.
Lillian was born in Birmingham, Alabama to John and Lily Pearson. She was the 7th child and 5th daughter out of 10 children. Her parents and siblings have all have gone to heaven before her. When Lillian was 5 years old the family moved to Miami, Florida. She started working at the age of 14 to help support her family and worked at a variety of jobs in her lifetime.
In 1953, she married the love of her life Robert Woodman. They were married for 56 years before his passing in 2009. In 1970, Robert and Lillian, moved their family to Oviedo, FL. Lillian was a strong and independent woman who enjoyed traveling and getting to know people. Some of her favorite places that she visited were Hawaii, London, Alaska, Mexico and South Africa. Lillian never met a stranger, and she had compassion for everyone she met. Her spirit lives on in all of the people she has touched in her long life.
A funeral service for Lillian will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
