Lucille Ceil Pearl Whittig

Whittig, Lucille Pearl, age 89, passed away at home on Monday, June 13, 2011. Lucille, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Gilbert) Rudolph, was born March 30, 1922, in Hazelton, PA. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Emil Whittig; her daughter, Dawn Whittig Tyson, her sister, Marion Hayle; and her brothers, Carl, Donald, Paul and Wayne.

Left to cherish their memories together are her daughter, Bonnie L Whittig and future son-in-law, Larry C. Adams; her granddaughter, Sherri L Tyson; her great grandson, Zane M Tyson; her sister, Lois (Richard) Clewell; and many nieces and nephews across the country.

A Life long Christian, she was a member of the West Orange Church of Christ, Winter Garden.

Lucille was very involved with Fraternal Organizations. A Past Matron of Composite #305 Order of the Eastern Star She also was a Past Matron of LeFair #535 in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. She was involved in the International Order of Job's Daughters having served as Associate Grand Guardian of the State of Pennsylvania, and Bethel Guardian, Bethel #18 Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Member of Daughters of the Nile Athaliah Temple #114.

Lucille spent most of her life as a Wife and Mother, Working briefly at JC Penny's and J.C. Jeweler's In Levittown, Pennsylvania. Lucille, along with her Husband Emil, lived in Hazelton, Pa; Detroit, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Levittown, PA; Orlando, FL and finally in Winter Garden.

Her hobbies included: Avid Reader. Seamstress. Creator of Poetry. Lover of Crafts; Plastic Canvas, Needlepoint. Faithful servant of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The visitation is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 17, 2011, at the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with the interment following immediately at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
