

Dedicated Wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Friend, Madge Lloyd, age 73, of Apopka, Fl, formerly a long-time resident of Brooklyn, NY passed away at her home on May 2, 2015.
Madge was born on February 9, 1942 in Ipswich, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. Madge grew up in Ipswich and Porus, Manchester, Jamaica.
Madge married Lascelles A. Lloyd. The couple moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. in the late 1960’s, with the dream of quickly establishing a home for the four children left behind; Amoy (Pat), Claudette, Tyrone (Dane), and Elsa. They promptly set to work and by March, 1971 through their hard work was able to purchase a house in Brooklyn and bring the four children from Jamaica to join the newest member of the family Lascelles Jr.
Madge was a dedicated and hard worker with A.T.&T for almost 30 years before retiring in the early 2000's. She transferred with the company to Orlando in 1983.
Madge was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and welcomed the birth of her 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Madge loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.
Madge was the beloved wife of Lascelles, devoted mother of Pat, Claudette, Dane, Elsa and Junior; loving grandmother of Meleekia, Drew, Collin Jr., Amy, Tyrone Jr., Monique, Jahrual, Jeremiah, and Jasmine; loving great grandmother of Zyavion, Zahmir, Zhani, Caniyah, and Aria.
Madge was known for her emotional and intellectual fortitude, and above all her great sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
