Malia Kolczynski graduated from the University of Florida with a marketing degree. While in college she worked at Publix as a cashier where she met her loving husband of 26 years. They had two beautiful daughters together who Malia stayed home with until they began school. Volunteering in her daughter’s classrooms she discovered her passion for teaching and went back to school to received her master’s degree in Education at the University of Central Florida. She had begun her career in retail management but found her purpose in life to reach others through teaching. Through her 18 years of teaching she touched the minds of many children and made a lasting impression on countless people’s lives. Her family grew with addition of their son, Blake. Malia found great joy supporting him while playing baseball by being the best team mom the coaches had seen. Malia will truly be missed by her husband and children. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at The First Baptist Church of Windermere.
