

Marceia Egler, wife of Susan Morelli for 30 years, passed away Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 in Orlando, Florida. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, April 28th, 1972, she was the daughter of Margo S. Loomis. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marguerite and Lawrence Stafford of Manning, South Carolina.
Marceia graduated high school in 1989. She was a member of Jupiter, Florida Scholastic Debate Team, marching band, and an honor student. After high school she joined the Army and was stationed at Red Stone Arsenal during Desert Storm.
After a varied career path, Her long time interest in computers directed her to Harvard for a degree in software engineering. She was employed at 4C North America Orlando, a Swedish based software development company.
Marceia had a wide range of hobbies and passions. She loved animals above all, followed closely by her interest in computers. She was also an avid reader and photographer—her work was even featured in an art gallery in Orlando. In addition, she enjoyed baking (especially her wonderful bread), crochet and knitting, watercolor painting, and many other creative pursuits.
Her passion for dogs and cats led her to volunteer and support Houndhaven in Minneola, Florida for many years. She always had a houseful of rescues, each having a special place in her heart. She will be met at the Rainbow Bridge by many wagging tails and meows!
She leaves behind countless cherished memories and dear friends. Her wit, intelligence, humor, strong opinions, and charm were just a few of the qualities that made her so special. She was always there for family, friends, and colleagues, ready to help in any way she could. She leaves a lasting legacy and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, US, on June 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
