Margaret Joan Watson

Margaret Joan Watson was born September 3rd, 1949 in Minot, North Dakota to Ruth Amanda (Thorenson) Watson and George Watson. She had three brothers: Stanley, David and Bruce, as well as one sister, Nancy. She graduated from Minot State University in 1971. In 1972 she relocated to Denver where she met the love of her life. Kurt and Margaret were married on October 12th, 1974 in Newburg, North Dakota. They created a life in Denver which included the birth of their daughter, Courtney, on August 18th, 1986. The family relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1988 where Kurt and Margaret established a business together. Kurt, Margaret and Courtney remained in Orlando to live a full, adventurous, and loving life.

Margaret had a varied and successful career during which she practiced as a CPA in both the public and private sectors. She earned her Master’s in Taxation from University of Denver and was certified in financial planning. Margaret's love of homes later led to her work as a licensed real estate agent.

Margaret loved the outdoors, from the mountains of Colorado to the beaches of Florida. She was active, and especially loved snow skiing, water skiing, tennis and gathering shells along the beach. She excelled at everything she set her mind to. Margaret was especially creative and loved sketching, painting, photography, jewelry making, macramé, knitting, and altering Courtney's MANY dance costumes. Margaret had a quick mind and a sly but kind sense of humor, usually coupled with a smile and a wink. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like they were lifelong friends. Margaret brought a gentle and graceful presence to everything she did in life. She had a strong faith, from which she drew strength and inspired others.

"Mom always told me I had a certain grace when I danced. If that's true, it's only because she had grace in every aspect of the way she lived her life. Mom, I love you more than all the stars in the sky."

Memorial will be December 13th at 2 pm at Salem Lutheran Church (7900 Apopka Vineland Rd Orlando Fl 32819).
