Hutton (Melissa) Springfield, MO; 13 grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Emily, Shane, Sam, Trent, Logan, Katie, Colton, Porter, Adele, Jack, and Brady; and 5 great-grandchildren, Maxon, Callahan, Hutton, Reese, and Warren. Marilyn was a life-long member of Winter Park Christian Church where she spent many years as a Deaconess, and was active in WPCC Women’s Bible Group.
She was born to Virginia Adele Thaxton and Lee Francis Hutton on November 22, 1937 in Greene County, Illinois and lived most of her youth in Roodhouse, Illinois. Marilyn graduated from Greenfield High School where she was crowned Homecoming Queen! Marilyn met her future husband, Charles A. McDade, in Illinois and they were married in Roodhouse Christian Church on February 14, 1960. Marilyn and Charles moved to Orlando, Florida in 1962 where they raised their family – Marilyn and Charles were married for 50-years. Marilyn embodied a loving matriarch who devoted her time and energy to the care of her family. She enjoyed creating recipes that remain a family staple and always nurtured warm memories around the table with her family. She caravanned her children and grandchildren to multiple sporting events and was excellent at staying up late to provide assistance with late night projects! Later, Marilyn worked for Sun Bank (Truist) as a Data Processor for over 20-years until her retirement in December 2000. Marilyn especially enjoyed spending time with family; drinking coffee with her neighbors and friends; providing ice cream with sprinkles to her grandchildren and just simply enjoying the moment.
Marilyn was an avid Auburn University fan and was passionate about the football team’s success, along with the Orlando Magic basketball team. She enjoyed time spent with her family at Walt Disney World watching the Electric Light Parade. She always cherished the time that her father and uncle moved to Orlando where they all got to spend quality time watching the horses at Ben White Raceway and talking around the dinner table!
Marilyn Hutton McDade will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as a wonderful and beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
A Memorial Service will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Jan. 27 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha, FL. Interment will occur directly after the service.
