Mary Ellen Adolph

Mary Ellen Canty Adolph died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 10, 2015 in Orlando, FL. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. This native Buckeye lived with cancer in the most noble & brave way. She did not let it define her. She showed cancer how she wanted to live and why. Her family is honored by her tenacity.

Mary Ellen is a true warrior. Forever in our hearts.

Mary Ellen & husband Ron, owned & operated Adolph & Associates in Worthington, Ohio. They moved to Florida in 1993. Mary Ellen retired from Orange County Public Schools in 2010, and was honored as the East Learning Community's Employee of the Year in 2006. Her most favorite title though, was Grandmother. Grandchildren Ellis & Resa have a lifetime of memories with their Grandma.

Preceded in death by husband Ronald Ellis Adolph, parents John & Mary Canty, sister Margaret Diefenbach. Survived by daughter, Stephanie Adolph & grandaughter Resa (Orlando), and son & daughter in law Ronald E. & Jessica Adolph, Jr. (West Palm Beach), grandson Ronald Ellis, III; beloved sisters & brothers Catherine Adkins (Orlando), John & Betty Canty (Columbus), Patricia Canty (Orlando), Eileen Dine (Orlando), Rita Theresa & Greg Purnell (Columbus), Tommy & Liz Canty (Columbus), Alice & Steve Williams (Orlando). Many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
