Maurice Calvin Keith

Maurice C Keith, 89, of Ocoee, Florida passed away on February 10, 2024. He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on April 8, 1934, to Warren E. and Eula Mae Keith. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1952. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1956 where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

While at Indiana, he met his lifelong sweetheart, Rowena Green. They were married on June 21, 1958. Following graduation, Maury served in United States Army.

Maury had a long career in business management with a variety of companies including W.T. Grant, Indiana Bell, and AT&T.

He was a member of the Elwood Kiwanis, Optimist Club, and Elks Lodge. Maury was active in the Presbyterian church where he served in many leadership roles including a Deacon and Youth Leader. He served as President of the United Way of Madison County and served as Vice-President of the United Way of Indiana.

Maury had a passion for reading, golf, and was an avid photographer. He loved Indiana University athletics and was a life-long fan of Hoosier basketball and football.

Maury & Rowena retired to central Florida in 1995 where he was active in the King’s Ridge community and Oakland Presbyterian Church.

Maury is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rowena, daughters Kathy (Mark) Fite of Orlando, FL, Karen (Carl) Klutzke of Westfield, IN, and Kristine (David) Raney of Apopka, FL; and grandchildren Brandon Klutzke and Morgan Klutzke.

Maury was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lynn Kline, Armatha Ray, and Delores Rogers; and brother, Alvin Lee Keith.
