Normand Raymond Marcotte

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday January 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 6803 Old Hwy 441 South Mount Dora, Florida 32757. The family has invited everyone to stay for a reception following the service at church rectory.

Norman was born October 25, 1928 to Jean Marcotte and mother Malvina Marcotte in Megog, Quebec, Canada. On July 18, 1959 he married Monique Lessard in Sherbrook, Quebec.

Norman enjoyed fishing, golf, and hunting and was an avid snow and water skier. His love for camping and the outdoors has continued thru his children. Norman moved his family from St. Johnsbury, VT to Orlando Florida in 1972. He was a brick mason by trade and owned and operated Marcotte Masonry for many years. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Survivors include his wife, Monique, his three sons, Alan and his wife Terry or Orange City, FL; Nelson and his wife Tammy of Clermont, FL; Donald and his wife Joann of Gotha, FL; Four grandchildren, Nick, Mallory, Nikki and Jake. Norman was one of 15 children. He is survived by two sisters, Claire Marcotte-Paquin, Vermont and Giselle Marcotte-Dion, Farham Quebec. Three brothers, Marcel (Benny), Jean-Noel and Real Marcotte all from Magog Quebec as well as many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and ten brothers and sisters.
