Ona Mae Barfield, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Kissimmee, FL on April 30, 2017. Born to parents Lathan and Ruby Barfield in Orlando, she was a lifelong resident of central Florida. Ms. Barfield received her Master’s degree from Stetson University, and went on to teach English at Valencia State College. She is survived by niece Ruby Burk, and nephews Jim Burk and Alvin Burk.
A memorial service for Ona will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church, 15 Church Street, Kissimmee, Florida on Sunday May 21 during the early and late services. Sunday Services are at 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM. Following both services a DVD highlighting Ona's life will be shown in the fellowship hall. A time of sharing and reminiscing will be welcomed. Light refreshments will also be served.
Service will be conducted by Pastor Frank Allen.
