Philip Harold Chapman

Philip Harold Chapman, 56, of Clermont, Fl. passed away on February 28, 2012. Mr. Chapman was born in Sanford, Fl. on August 9, 1955.Phil began his 30 year career in the Ambulance industry at Starline.He then moved to National Ambulance where he enjoyed his work as a manager of manufacturing and the opportunity to travel around the US and Canada delivering and trouble shooting ambulances. He also traveled to Saudi Arabia to train personal in converting Hummers to Ambulances for the local terrain. At ICARIS Phil worked on projects for WDW such as the haunted stairs at the Haunted Mansion attraction in the Magic Kingdom and the Barrel of Monkeys for the Toy Story Mania attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. He also worked on many of the food kiosks for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, most recently Phil worked at Industrial Smoke And Mirror in quality control.Phil's interest in history was sparked in part by his family ties to John Chapman also known Johnny Appleseed.He also loved sport, science, and nature; especially the beach and a family trip to the Grand Canyon. Most of all he loved his family, Lori his wife of almost 25 years and his two sons Chris and Alex. He also had a special place in his heart for his dog Mo.Phil or Phip as he was known to his family wil be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Phil is survived by his Loving wife Lori Chapman, sons, Christopher and Alexander Chapman, sister Carin Chapman Rabun.A visitation will be held on Thursday March 1, 2012 from 2-3pm with services to follow at 3:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road Gotha, Fl. 34734.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eastridge High School Drama Boosters.
