Dear Karen, Ray, & Mark,

My worst fears were realized when I found this posting.  When the Christmas card I had mailed to him last year was returned I hoped that he had only moved.  The last time I saw your wonderful father was a few years ago when I attended an Air Force reunion in Orlando.  We spent a good amount of time together and I treasure those memories.  He was always very kind to, and supportive of, me during my days at OAFB, as was your entire family.

I miss him dearly and wish that our paths had crossed more often.  I hope to hear from any or all of you when you are so inclined.

The Israelites believe the more you love another the more you embellish stories of their lives.  The more Ray told stories of his wife and children, the more he would embellish them, showing how much he loved them.  We will all miss these embellished stories, now that Ray is gone, and there is no one that can embellish a story as Ray could.  God bless you Ray, as you are at Peace with your beloved wife, Bernie.

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost earthly companionship with your dad. I am so pleased to hear that he was living near you and that you were able to share these last years. I wish you peace and and even joy as you remember and celebrate his life. He was a lovely man!
