D’Amato, Richard “Dick” Gregory, 83 of Orlando, FL, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Thursday, December 24th, 2015. He was born December 22nd, 1932 in West Orange, NJ to Salvatore and Lena D’Amato. He was a graduate of West Orange High School and Rutgers University. Richard was a private pilot, a member of the Orange National Guard for 10 years, a retired West Orange, NJ police officer, and the former owner of Tamarac Travel and Tour Company. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Nannette D’Amato; his three children: Leslee D’Amato-Kubiet, Dina D’Amato-Thompson, and Gregory D’Amato; and his five grandchildren: Jaqueline Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Elliott D’Amato, Alexander Kubiet, and Nicholas Kubiet. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in Richard’s name be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
