Richard Good Streby

Richard G. Streby, 97, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on August 3, 2024.

He was born in Canton, Ohio on June 23, 1927. Richard graduated from North Canton High and received a Masters from Kent State University. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was married to Carolyn Streby on September 18, 1975. Richard had a career in Finance Management with Martin Marietta from 1963 to 1991. After he retired in 1991 he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for 18 years then Give Kids the World until he was 92. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta, and had a passion for Fishing, camping and woodworking.

He was survived by his wife, Carolyn Streby and sister Vonnie Schworm. Together they have 5 children Paula Shontz, Laura McMahon, Samuel Streby, Ronald Montgomery and Cynthia Dennis and 13 lovely grandchildren. Richards family meant the world to him.

A casual “Celebration of Life “will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734 on August 18, 2024 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a charitable donation to one of his favorite charities Give Kids the World.
