
Samuel Preston Lazenby, 92, of Orlando, FL., passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on June 1, 2016. Born in Augusta, GA., he moved to Central Florida in 1963. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Enterprise during WWII and the South Pacific as an aviation machinist. He was among the first Naval Jet Technicians. He had a wonderful career at Murray Baking Co., out of Augusta GA., and rose to Regional Manager of FL., AL., Miss., LA and Puerto Rico. Samuel was an active member of College Park United Methodist Church, an avid Golfer and a Mason. He is survived by his loving daughter, Mary deBeaubien and husband, Hugo, of Orlando; grandson, Brad deBeaubien and wife, Dale and 2 great grandchildren, Georgia and Celia, all of Tampa; nephew, John Lazenby , of Windermere and other numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Eloise, in 2009, and all of his older siblings. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday 6/11 at 10am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orlando Lutheran Tower’s Foundation, 300 E. Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801 or College Park United Methodist Church, 644 W.
