Sandy Knowles

Sandra LeClair Knowles, of Windermere, passed away Monday evening, April 18 2011. Sandy was 57. Despite a two and a half year battle with cancer, Sandy’s true character and personality helped her through. She kept her sense of humor and love for her family throughout the fight.

After spending her childhood in Lewiston Maine, Sandy then spent a good portion of her life in North Carolina before moving to Florida in the early 1980’s. Working for the attraction “Water Mania” was the highlight of her sales career before starting her own business “Tour Orlando” as a tour operator. She enjoyed the lifelong friendships from our clients and business associates, touching the hearts of everyone that knew her.

As much as Sandy enjoyed the Orlando Travel Industry, it was her role of wife and mother that defined her life. Trips to Anna Maria Island and the Fl Keys were her favorite pastimes.

Sandy is survived by her husband Chris, daughter Alexis, her parents Robert and Claire LeClair of Windermere, FL and her brother Ken LeClair of Franklin, TN.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 2:00 pm, at the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Raod, Gotha, Florida 34734.

The Doctors and Nurse Staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando were there for Sandy’s every need.
