Sharon Elaine Kalish, 74, of Orlando, Florida passed away on June 2, 2020 having spent her last days with flair! Sharon has inspired her family and friends all her life, challenging herself to great adventures ‘til the end.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank & Dorothy (Ostrowski) Jachim on December 27, 1945 with Christmas ever close to her heart. Sharon served her country proudly in the U.S. Army.
She always wanted to learn new things, from striving for her AAP certificate in her chosen field of banking (and, earning it!) to taking on new tasks, streamlining them and making them better! She began going back to school at Valencia College in her last years of life, taking one class at a time, ill or not, to have them bestow upon her her Associate’s Degree of Arts! She began writing fiction, took up piano, ballroom dancing, and began learning French, all in her later years. Sharon and her granddaughter, Kira, rode the roller coasters at the theme parks until they couldn’t anymore! And in the last year, when everyone thought cancer had taken her strength, she took it back, left chemotherapy, changed her diet, and built her way back up to roadtripping all over the South with her dear daughter, Donna, in her little red car. Sharon taught us all to live by living! We Celebrate Her!!
She was preceded in death by her dear parents; life long friend, Donna Sucher; siblings, Tony Seamon, Dennis Jachim, Doris Jachim and Barbara Jachim.
Sharon is survived by her adoring daughter, Donna Prince (Kelly); granddaughter, Kira Prince; brother, Gary Jachim; and, sisters-in-law, Myra Jachim and Charlene Seamon.
Sharon’s Family will honor her memory at a private inurnment at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida, complete with Military Honors, and butterflies released to fly over the rainbow…
