Stella Quinn DuPont came into the world on June 25, 2015. 7lbs 4oz of perfection. She was a gentle soul, always calm and composed as a baby. Stella’s naps were little surprises; where we would sometimes find her asleep amongst her toys. As she grew, she became our little adventurer. Despite her negative opinions of her very first pool experience, Stella loved swimming and the water. She was determined to join the Southwest Aquatics swim team and learned to wakeboard at the 2023 OWC summer camp. Stella played the violin, and although she often conveniently forgot to practice, she worked hard and earned maximum federation points on her first performance. She loved Pokemon, all things Pikachu, and had a growing collection of Pokemon cards, Squishmallows, and Beanie Boo’s. Stella loved her 3 dogs: Harvey, Shelby, and Libby. Her deep love of dogs inspired her to dream of becoming a veterinarian and owning her own practice. Stella was a caring friend and had many close friendships. When she wasn’t able to see her friends often, she would keep up with them on Facebook Messenger Kids by sending fun photos and videos.
After 3 1/2 years of being an only child, we welcomed her little sister, Norah. From the instant Norah was born, Stella embraced being a loving and supportive big sister. She did her best to look out for, take care of, and help her little sister with everything she could. Stella and Norah were best friends, always watching videos together, coloring, building forts, and all around destroying the house in the name of fun. Stella gave so much love to her family, friends, and pets.
On October 15, 2023, our perfect world came crashing down as Stella suffered a catastrophic medical event; and on October 17, 2023, we held our beautiful girl close and said goodbye. Stella inspired a massive outpouring of love from family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers who heard her story. To those who knew our girl, know that she loved you so sincerely. To those who have reached out to our family during this unimaginable time, stayed at the hospital, sent food, gift cards, a text to check in, stopped by, or the countless other ways we have received love and support please know that we could never say enough thank you’s for helping to see us through the darkest time of our lives.
The hole that has been left in our hearts could never be filled. Stella, we love you forever.
