He was born in New York City on September 11, 1947.
Victor graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and Niagara University both located in Niagara Falls, New York. He received a Master’s degree in history from Geneseo The State University of New York.
He leaves to cherish a devoted wife of twenty years, Lauren Graves LaDota.
Victor was hired by New York Giants’ football legend, Charles ‘Bolo’ Purdue as a history teacher and junior varsity boys basketball coach at Norview High School, Norfolk, Virginia. Soon thereafter, Victor affectionately became known as ‘Coach’ as he oversaw the girls' junior varsity basketball team.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Anthony LaDota (Katie), and two granddaughters, Safina and Emery of Williamsville, New York along with his brother, Michael LaDota (Marietta), and nephew, Justin LaDota of Clifton, Virginia.
