Virginia Mae Meyer

Virginia “Genny” was born in 1929 on May the 10th, in Toledo, Ohio. Virginia is survived by her Husband; Lewis, Brother; Lowell Cocke (Butch), and Granddaughter; Danielle (Meyer) Hodges. Virginia was preceded in death by her son Michael Meyer in 2009 on June the 16th.

Virginia and Lewis met in 1946 in their home state of Ohio. Virginia and Lewis met at Giffy Hall skating rink when she was 15 years old. After a long year of playing hard to get Virginia finally agreed to go on a date with Lewis to White House a local hamburger shop.

After dating for a little over a year, Virginia and Lewis were married on June 12th, 1948 in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio at Zion Lutheran Church. Soon thereafter came their one and only son Michael Glenn in late November of 1948.

Virginia and Lewis moved to Orlando, Florida in November 1959, where Lewis still resides today.

Almost 36 years later their son Michael married and gave Virginia and Lewis their one and only granddaughter. Danielle Nicole was born on March 18th, 1985 and would soon become the light of Virginia and Lewis’s life.

Virginia “Genny” was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Virginia would to this day say that she was sweet, caring, outgoing and just plain fun to be around. She was a wonderful women and will truly be missed by all.
