

Wallace “Wally” Joseph St. Pierre, 99, of Orlando, Florida passed away on March 21, 2017. He was born on November 18, 1917 in Remy, Louisiana. Wallace was a Chief Master Sergeant and served 32 years in the U.S. Air Force, served in World War II and began his retirement from the service in 1973. He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching golf, basketball, and football and could be found on the golf course every weekend in his earlier days. He loved to take his wife out dancing.
During World War II the first day he arrived in Corsica, France he met the girl of his dreams and his bride to be, Lucienne. They courted for over a year, before Lucienne’s father agreed to the union. Wallace promised to send her home every year to visit and that’s what he did whenever she wanted. After 11 years of wanting to become parents, they welcomed their daughter, Marie Jeanne Schiavoni.
He traveled to different locations throughout his career and during his last assignment was Chief of Administration at Tempelhof Airport, Berlin, Germany. He retired in Orlando, Florida and took on other employment where he retired again in 1985.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He was kind and generous. He worked so hard with such determination, motivation and devotion to whatever he put his mind to. He will be so missed and never forgotten.
Wallace was preceded in death by: parents, Clement St. Pierre and Maria St. Cyr; loving wife, Lucienne of 57 years; his brothers, Earl, Lois, Elzey, Leroy and sister Delores. He is survived by: his loving daughter, Marie Jeaine Schiavoni; son-in-law, Michael C. Schiavoni; grandson, Matthew Schiavoni; and brother, Allen St. Pierre.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida.
