William Anthony Scherrer Jr.

William (Bill) Anthony Scherrer, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife, Ruby Scherrer, and his devoted family.

Born on March 17, 1939, Bill was a proud Navy Airman who served his country in the late 1950s. While stationed in Milton, Florida, he met Ruby, the love of his life and his wife of 65 wonderful years. Their deep bond became the foundation of a lifetime filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Bill was a dedicated patriarch, a man of unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving father to six children: William Scherrer III (Michelle, deceased), Glen Scherrer (deceased), Dean Scherrer (Christine), Tina Beckrow (Keith, deceased), Terry DeMott (Rob), and Tara Dowdal (Scotty). His legacy extends through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will remember him as a kind, strong, and guiding presence in their lives.

A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family to honor Bill’s life and memory.
