

William Joseph Spellman, Sr. of Orlando, Florida passed away Friday, July 29th, 2016 after 92 wonderful years. William, or Bill, as he was known to his friends and loving family, was born Sunday, August 19th, 1923 to William and Marie (Potter) Spellman in Hoboken, New Jersey.
William was a general contractor who owned his own successful construction company in Manhattan, Colin Construction.
He was a veteran of World War II proudly and honorably serving his country in the Merchant Marines.
Bill was a devout, life long, Catholic and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dotty; children, William Spellman Jr, Richard and Susan Spellman, Roseanne and Thomas Verrangia, Kathryn and Scott Douglas, and Lisa and Gary Fezza; two dozen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Dottie and her family will be accepting visitors from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Monday, August 1st.
Immediately following, there will be a celebration of life service at the funeral home at 6:00pm with Father Carlos Anklan officiating.
A Mass will be celebrated at a later date in Long Island, New York.
