The world has lost a great man. Mr. Winston and his wife Joan treated me like a son, and their son Winston Jr (may he rest in peace) was like my brother from another mother. My Condolences to Joan and the rest of the family. He will be missed greatly. Love always from The Lewis Family. ❤🙏❤🙏❤

This I a man that I will forever miss. It’s gonna be hard to get used to not seeing him walk through the door after a long day of work greeting you with a big smile and a “hi people’s”.
A man with all knowledge and courage, his comforting words and advice. just the sound of his laugh and all the time we’ve spent together will forever be kept in my thoughts and heart. He is the true definition of a man he was stern when he needed to be, a teacher most of the time sometimes even a therapist but mostly a man a love. Seeing the bond him and my grandmother had was impeccable everything they do was out of love for one another and the people around them. I love you grandpa it’s time to relax and rest easy in paradise until I see you again peoples ❤️❤️

A Letter To My Grandpa , 
Grandpa I loved you like my father , I’m heartbroken but I’m upset . I’m mad because I feel Like the world should have stopped the night you died , I feel like the world should be in depression and anger  . I want the world to feel the pain Because you impacted so many lives and are the reason so many lives Continue till this day . I’m heartbroken you won’t see my first car or be their for my graduation. The small things in life you know ...I still haven’t Come to the realization  that your gone ...Excepting this is not something I want to do , but further more I don’t think I can . I remember being outside in the back and you building my fort , I remember sneaking In the bed at night with you and grandma and falling asleep first so you would let me stay ...Only for you to pick me up and take me to my bed down the hall . I’ll never forget you Coming to visit in Jamaica and I was their and I just thought to myself ...imagine I grew up in America with you  and now look where god put us  to meet up together ...The places You go and see on gods will , the smells and people you meet ... so I wonder what’s it like where you are? Are you okay ?  What’s on your mind .... what place did you end up? Answers I think about but  will only be answered when I see you again.
God really is coming for his people , every second , per minute , every hour . Grandpa your passing has left everyone in shock ...I ask for you to help us , guide us as you did on earth , Hug us, comfort us , Show us how to love one another before another passing comes in to place and we grieve and regret How we spent our Days together on earth . I ask of you to teach us one more lesson “Love” . My G , My Don , I love you and I feel you Every where around me . You’ve finished your race ,  Now It’s time for me to start mine. Until we link up again and par REST IN PEACE TO THE ORIGINAL DON DADA❤️🙏 🕊

Daddy you are the best nurse ever. You got me through my pregnancy with Indie, my surgery in  Orlando, Jamaica when I was feeling  bad always thinking about me making sure I eat properly. I was really looking forward to the day I could take care of you back they day you needed me to make you soup and help you walk and fix you to watch tv and help you dress. I was looking forward to these thing just like the others to show our appreciation for everything you do for us and how much we love you and finally get to show you we have been ready for the day you need us. God had other plans and now I feel you will never understand what you mean to me or the others we won’t get the opportunity to show you everything we planned on doing and fighting over who get to keep you at their house .  Your memory will live always when I have a problem I will always start what would daddy do and I know
I will already be on the right track. I love you so much this hurts and I am going to be strong becouse I know that’s what you would tell me to do. Your in my heart and and you will always be the voice in my head, just so you don’t get too far 😉

I’ve only come across Winston a handful of times, but those moments helped me more than I can explain in words...

 The first time I met Boss, I was maybe, 13 years old, and the only thing I cared about was being fast (cars obviously)... 

The “speed” community I grew up in was predominantly Honda, but to make a long story short; On his vacation to Miami, he examined, approved, purchased, and towed a 1993 Civic.. A hunk of metal with a good paint job, I called “my baby”, (still do) 500 miles, from Orlando, to Miami, as a favor for a longtime friend.

It was poring rain, 10 o’clock at night, and he pulls into my neighborhood with this midnight blue hatchback, being hauled from behind his long bed. 12 years later it’s one of the most memorable days of my life.

His next trip down we got to spend more time together, where he taught me body work, and the basics of painting. I admired his attention to detail and craftsmanship. It aspired my creation beyond bounds I knew even existed till I think back at it all... 

Our last encounter was a short and I wasn’t in the right mind... So I didn’t get to pay me the attention it deserved... But in essence he was helping family, just like how I met him...

An amazing man that put others before himself... May his blessed soul Rest In Peace. I love you Boss...





My Dear Uncle Winston. You fought so hard to stay here with us . But God knows best. Only the good lord knows what you were going through , so he heard your  moaning and he knows you pain so he sees fit to take you home. You was such a quiet person always have a smile on your face, your nickname for me was miracle, every time I visit you guys the first thing you would say to me is wa a gwan miracle.RIP you will be missed.

As missionaries, Chris, my husband, and I, and our two daughters  Pandita and Sherri,  arrived in Miami from Ecuador, on our way to visit relatives in Canada, whom we had not seen for decades. We had very little money so we could not fly, and ended up buying an old van to take us there, and then onto Mexico to continue our missionary work. The van was in no shape for this long journey and we had no money to pay a mechanic. We have never forgotten how Winston ( my uncle), willingly and cheerfully, came to our rescue and  spent many hours  working on the engine, brakes etc., totally free, to get the van in good shape for the long journey. This has always stood out to us as an act of sincere love and genuine kindness, and something to emulate.

My dearest uncle who was more like my wise grandfather and loving father, I will truly miss you. We had our own bond being the first baby in the family means so much in so many ways. I owe you an apology uncle, I didn’t take enough time with you as I began to grow older in age.  Some of my fondest memories are when my mom would bring me to visit you in the old house here in Miami you would have mangos set aside for me that came off the tree and I would play with the dogs, that transformed into our summer and winter break road trips back and forth to Orlando to visit the family. Uncle I am glad you are at peace you were always a man of few words but they weighted heavily when spoken I am going to truly miss you a man of many talents doesn’t come easy you were one of a kind. Please watch over the family and visit us often especially aunty I know she misses you deeply, until we see each other again I love you 

SIP, Winston Prendergast,  met you through your name sake nephew, your deceased name sake son, as well as few more nieces and nephews,  I will always remember you , your dear Joan will missed you forever, am praying God will be there to comfort her and the children and give them strength. 

I got to know Winston, "Boss" to me, through Chris G over 30 years ago. He was never a man of many words and rarely complained or had a bad word to say about anyone or anything. He kept his counsel, and spoke in his deeds.... quiet and determined deeds. He cherished his friends, and when he did a favour he would never speak of it and discouraged any mention of it. 
Love you and miss you "Boss". May God grant you His perpetual light and eternal rest.

 I have always had a special place in my heart for you. You have taught me so much in life without even knowing it. You earned the respect of many others with your ability to figure out just how things worked and doing things "your way". Self taught, versatile, talented, caring and a true supportive friend.
You have left a void for many but we will fill it with all the awesome memories and fun times. 
I will always remember our rally days, with drives sometimes that cheated death, but some of the greatest moments of my life.
I Love you my friend, and I will miss you immensely.

My darling husband ,the love of my life,my soul mate. My heart is broken. I never in my wildest dreams Would   think that this day would ever come  so soon. You were such a kind, considerate, and companionate person not only to me but to everyone who crossed your path.  
I am lost without you and will be for a long time. Life will never be the same. I will cherish the memories of our life together and will wrap myself in them, on those cold lonely nights when I reach for you and you are not there.
No one could ever replace you. But now I must continue my journey with Gods help

Uncle Winston made myself and his grandchildren breakfast faithfully every Sunday morning. He never missed a graduation or a beat when it came to those he loved. I could always count on him for all my car troubles and because of him I always take my car in for the necessary maintenance. May we all carry him in our hearts, memories and keep him alive with our actions and all that he has instilled in many during his time with us.
