

Zachary Brian Taggart, 21, died tragically and unexpectedly Friday, April 1st. Zach was the beloved son of Brian and Karin Taggart and the adored big brother of Abby. Zach was born in Richmond, Virginia and was raised in Orlando, Florida in the Windermere-Ocoee area. He graduated from High School in 2019. Zach was a member of Mensa from age 9 and while in high school earned the Congressional Award Silver Certificate. Zach enjoyed playing football for Central Florida Christian Academy during his sophomore, junior and senior years. While growing up, Zach was an active member of the youth group at First Baptist Church Windermere now known as Family Church. Zach frequently volunteered at New Missions and in 2017 went to Haiti on a mission trip with them. Zach had a creative side that came out through painting and jewelry making. Zach loved to read, take nature walks and spend time with his friends whom he loved dearly. He was quick witted, thoughtful, and tenderhearted. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Zachary is survived by his parents Brian and Karin Taggart (nee Orsborn), his sister Abigail Taggart, his maternal grandparents “Nana” Bonnie Byrd Bennett, Grandpa and Grandma J, Wayne Philip Orsborn and his wife Jennifer, his paternal grandmother “G-maw” Johnnie Stancil Taggart as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM at Family Church on 300 Main Street, Windermere Florida with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to New Missions “In Honor of Zach Taggart”. https://newmissions.givingfuel.com/donate
