Mrs. Arlene H. Passow Westendorf

Passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, age 92, at Saginaw Senior Care Nursing Home

Arlene was born August 6, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Ernest and Barbara (Bame) Passow. She married Elmer Westendorf on February 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1994. Arlene was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked for 10 years as Camp Director for the Saginaw Society of Crippled Children at Brissette Beach, Kawkawlin, MI which was sponsored by Garber Buick.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen Holden (William) of Freeland; 6 grandchildren, Trisha Jackson (Danny) of Freeland, Brett Holden (Eileen) of Ft. Collins, CO, Dirk Westendorf (Krystal) of Marysville, OH, Jeffrey LaPorte (Nicole) of Saginaw; Heidi Hare (Timothy) of Brandt, MI, Jackie Easlick (David Vogler) of New York; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Connie Westendorf in 2001; 4 brothers, Ernest, Kenny, Carl and Ralph; and sister, Edna.

Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, Michigan and Pastor Michael Hahn will officiate. Entombment will be at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION will be 5:00-9:00PM Wednesday at Oakwood Mausoleum, 5950 N. Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, and 10:00-11:00AM Thursday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The family extends special thanks to RN Laura at Saginaw Senior and Home Hospice staff, Elizabeth, Deanna and Diane. A big hug and kiss to Jackie Allen for volunteering so much time to comfort, hug and support Arlene.
