Mr. Arthur A. Olson

OLSON, ARTHUR age 91 died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Interment at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from Noon to 1:30 P.M. Arthur was born October 28, 1919 in Flint, Michigan to parents Philip and Mabel (Bark) Olson. Arthur served in the U.S. Army during WW II. After returning from the Army he went to work for the family business (Michigan Lumber) where he later served as Vice President, retiring in 1996. Arthur was a graduate of Flint Central High School and Michigan State University, where he played Tennis and continued to play for the rest of his life. Surviving are children Philip J. (Laura) Olson, Charles A. (Theresa) Olson, James R. (Kris) Olson, all of Grand Blanc, Karen K. (Tim) Stetson of Rochester Hills, MI.; grandchildren Katie, Sam, Tom, Joe, Mike, Steve, Mark, Kalyn; sister Kathryn O. Marshall of Atlanta, GA. Contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Genesys Convalescent Center.
