Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 6434 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI. Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Interment at Thetford Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Asa was born July 8, 1924 to parents Walter and Gladys (Dill) Fortier. He was a member oft the Clio V.F.W. Post 1452, the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Emmanuel Baptist Church of Flint, First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris, First Baptist Church of Lapeer, Emmanuel Baptist Church of Otisville. Surviving are children Carla (Merrill) Corlew, Kay (Ron) Harcek, Kerry (Walt) LeCureux; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; special cousin Donna Wildeman; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Dorothy Fortier.
