Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, in Grand Blanc, MI. A visitation will take place from 12 to 2pm at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Carol was born in Flint, MI on June 30, 1939 with twin sister Kay to parents Gerald Kehoe “Mac” and Lucila Frances “Pat” (Ice) McGuire. She married Jerry V. Nuckolls on February 15, 1958 and they remained married until his death on June 1, 2018. Carol was an extraordinary individual who deeply cared for her family.
During her lifetime, Carol was a golfer, a writer, a business owner, a traveler, an artist, a bowler, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. Carol was affectionately known as "Aunt Carol" by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and she was always quick to provide wonderful compliments and keen insights. Carol had lived in no fewer than six different US states, but most of all, Carol was passionate about her paintings. Carol’s eyes would light-up and sparkle anytime she talked about one of her paintings or when she had an opportunity to help others with their paintings.
Carol is survived by her daughter Sherry of Arizona, son Marshall (and Susan) of Michigan, and grandchildren Carolyn (and Brandon) Hermann of Florida, Jeremy of Arizona and great-grandchildren (Anaya, Patrick, Zaide, Aria, Serenity) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her grand-daughters Brittany and Sara, husband Jerry and twin sister Kay.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brownfh.com for the Nuckolls family.
