

Davis, Clarence F. (Clancy) – beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather at the age of 95 passed away, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in Saginaw, MI surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1 PM at Oakwood Mausoleum – 5950 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI 48638 with Chaplain Parker officiating and with one hour of visitation prior to. Clarence was born on October 12, 1920 in Bay City, MI to the late Arthur and Violet Davis. In October of 1977, Clarence married Catherine Leuenberger, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Clarence was a man of many talents. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing musical instruments such as the organ. He was an expert watchmaker and lapidary. He would create beautiful jewelry pieces and give them to his loving wife, family, and friends. Clarence also like to play Euchre and dance ballroom style. He was a member of Salina-Pioneer lodge #79, Gulaski Club, Moose Lodge #82, American Legion #0439, VFW post 1566, Disabled American Veterans #4 and Northern Masonic Jurisdiction 32nd Degree. Clarence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Leuenberger) Davis; children: Nancy (Bill) Ulman, Leon Davis and Darlene, and Daniel Davis; grandchildren: Rose (Perry) Pelton, Vicki (Jon) Rotunna, Tim Davis, Chris Davis, and Virginia Louise; great-grandchildren: Beth, Michael, Nathan, Kyle, Andrew, Jon, and Will; great-great-grandchildren: Logan, Allie, and Andrew; also survived by brother Arthur Davis and sister Deloris Deyoung and several nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by two brothers: Wayne Davis and Marshall Davis; three sisters: Evelyn, Grace, and Lois.The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care at the VA Hospital, especially Carrie, for the loving care given to Clarence.
