

Clayton was born on March 3, 1935, to the late Raymond and Lillian (Burrow) in Flint, Michigan. His first job was helping with bingo for Father Bush when he was still in high school. He worked for thirty years at GM as a supervisor in the office at Warehouse and Distribution. Even after retiring, Ray continued to work. He spent years assessing property for Mundy Township, and also worked at the Flint Auto Auction, which melded with his love of buying and selling cars. He was an avid hunter, who enjoyed deer hunting at the Wyoming Hat Ranch and turkey hunting on his property in Harrison, Michigan. In addition to hunting, his hobbies included golfing, fishing, and bowling. Clayton was known as a handyman, and was adept at everything from landscaping to working on motors.
Clayton will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Clayton leaves to cherish his memory his oldest daughter Sally Jo (Joe) Regimbal and children Zacheus (Angie), Xavier and Azaria (Roxane) Reid and younger daughter Janice (Todd) Johnson and children Nicholas (Emily), Andrew, and Neil (Heather), and 13 great grandchildren.
Clayton was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Alta, brothers Donald and Pat, and nephew Donnie.
