A true handyman through and through, Dale spent much of his life building homes, roofing alongside his beloved wife of 59 years, Karon, and fixing just about anything that needed fixing. His hands were always busy, but his heart was always open.
Dale loved the simple pleasures: a good Western on the TV, a quiet game of solitaire, and the thrill of smelt dipping when the season hit. He was known for his delicious cooking—his lasagna and shish kabobs were especially legendary among family and friends. Above all, Dale loved his family.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Karon; their six children Helen (Adam), Sondra, Sherjuan, Tommy, Keral, and Noella; granddaughter, Luna; brother-in-laws Jack and Ken; sister-in-laws Mildred and Linda; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, William and Corinne, brothers Ernie and Bill, sister Carol, sister-in-law Janet, and many other loved ones who are surely welcoming him home.
In the meantime, his family encourages those who knew Dale to honor his memory by enjoying a Western, playing a hand of solitaire, or sharing a good meal with someone you love.
The family would like to give their heartfelt appreciation to their church family at Clio Church of Christ.
A memorial service for Dale will be held on May 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Clio Church of Christ, 219 New Street, Clio, Michigan.
