Debbi was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on October 17, 1967 to Timothy and Linda (Armstrong) Blanchard. In her earlier years, she loved participating in competitive roller skating, music, dance/baton and 4-H events including showing her dogs Princess and Lisa. Debbi was an amazing and creative artist, as well as a phenomenal cook. She was very proud of her Armenian heritage, music, dancing and displayed that joy in some of her delicious Armenian dishes. For over ten years, Debbi enjoyed working at Chrysler as a paint shop specialist. She was also heavily involved in search and rescue training with her dog Turbo. Spending time with her cats, family and friends, playing poker or going to the casino were among Debbi's favorite things to do later in life.
Unfortunately, throughout her life Debbi faced many health challenges since she battled Acromegaly. She became part of a research study at University of Michigan, and took experimental medication designed to combat her disorder. The medication proved to be successful and Debbi was able to overcome some of her health challenges and it did go in remission. With her loving family support, Debbi proved to be a strong and passionate woman. Above everything, Debbi dedicated her life to her son, Anthony. She loved her son and was honored to be his mother. Debbi was a loving mom, daughter, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege to know her.
Debbi leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son Anthony Brown and his special friend Erica Zacek; parents Timothy & Linda Blanchard of Clarkston; sister Beverly & Todd Ferguson of Flushing; aunts and uncles Dennis & Mary Blanchard of Wisconsin, Tyrone & Carol Blanchard of Lapeer, Mark & Angela Mueller of Wisconsin, Nancy Sue & Mohamad Hamo of Auburn Hills, John & Pat McGowan of Ortonville Cousins Jason & Ann Miller (children Grace and Elliot) of St Clair Shores, Brad & Jennifer Wachtel (children Easton and Cooper) of Wisconsin, Richie & Jessica Mueller (child Tucker) of Wisconsin, Ben & Kim Blanchard (children Zoe and Aly) of Wisconsin, Blake & Beckie Smith (children Esther and Vincent) of Iowa, Step Grandmother Nancy Armstrong of Arizona, Randy Thompson of Oxford, Michelle & Eric Walker of Davison, Jennifer Thompson of Oxford, Helen Thompson of Oxford, Andrew Thompson of Oxford; Special Friends Sue, Tracey, Ann and Carol; cats Kia and Tawnie; and many more loving family members and friends.
