KARBOWSKI-JACOBSON, Dolly, age 78, formerly Ruth Sophie Jacobson died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Brian’s House Hospice. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Carl Halquist officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm. Dolly was born on November 23, 1932 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Edward Charles and Esther Ida Louise Jacobson. She graduated from Flint Technical High School in 1951. Dolly was employed for 5 years at the old Fisher Body Plant 1 and then later employed by the Flint Board of Education for 8 years. She is survived by a son Stevie (Shelley) Karbowski, daughters Jan Toler and Beverly (Walter) Spencer, brother Charles (Joan) Jacobson, sisters Karen and her late husband Richard Ash, and Lois Holmquist. Also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Esther Jacobson, a son Robert “Bobby” Karbowski, Jr., a sister Derelys Gittleman, and great grandson Kenneth Karbowski.
