Elizabeth "Betty" Noble Heness

Elizabeth found steady joy in the work of her hands and the quiet beauty of time well spent. She loved sewing, a pastime that reflected her patience and care, and she treasured many days at the family cabin on Bois Blanc Island; time marked by rest, togetherness, and the familiar comfort of a place held dear. She was also a devoted double member of The Order of the Eastern Star in Grand Blanc and Pontiac for 65 years, a long and faithful commitment that spoke to her constancy and sense of purpose.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Tracey (Patrick) Wilson, Gail Moffitt, and K. Dale (Shelia) Sandefur; grandchildren Ryan (Nicole) Wilson, Lindsay (Greg) Spitler, Jamie (Erik) Cecchetti, Jacob (Emily Simmons) Moffitt, Nicole Moffitt, and Rachel Moffitt; great-grandchildren Lucas Spitler, Jase Spitler, Michael Wright III, Rowan Wilson, and Ember Cecchetti; and siblings James (Char) Ratliff Jr., and Suzie (Bill) Jones.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley G. Heness; her parents, James and Helen Ratliff; her grandkids Kelli Burleson and Riley Moffitt; and her sister Patricia Livi.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Halsey United Methodist Church, 10006 Halsey Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 10:00am to 10:45am. An Order of Eastern Star Memorial will take place at 10:45am with Pastor Carol Bouse officiating. A luncheon will take place following the service at the church.
