Faith grew up with her loving parents Morty and Gladys and her sister Dorothea on Long Island and attended Brooklyn College where she studied accounting. Among her jobs as a younger adult, she enjoyed working as a bookkeeper in a garment business in the City.
Among her many interests, Faith loved horseback riding, dance, and music. She was an insatiable reader, an avid television viewer and in her later years a voracious crossword puzzler.
Faith will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered by friends and family as a smart, engaging, and charismatic woman, full of love and compassion.
Faith is survived by her son Todd Schafer (Diane Brody), as well as by many nieces and nephews, and her many caregivers from her later years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Schafer (obm), her daughter Deborah Schafer (obm), her sister Dorothea Knecht (Ziegler) (obm), and her parents, Mortimer and Gladys Ziegler (obm).
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 11:30 AM, in the chapel at Machpelah Cemetery, 4615 Branch Road, Flint, MI 48507.
