Gary Ambrose Conway

Conway, Gary Gary Conway, age 60, of Flint, Michigan, died on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Hurley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, located at 1922 Iowa Ave., on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 1:00 pm. No burial services will be held. Father Jay Gantz will be officiating. Donations may be made to the soup kitchen of St. Andrews Church. Gary was born on September 26, 1957, to the parents of Dawn and Frederick Ackerman, but lived the greater portion of his life with his beloved Aunt Nadalynn (Connie) Conway who preceded him in death. Gary enjoyed helping others and loved God deeply. He spent much of his life volunteering at the soup kitchen at St Andrews. He also devoted his life to caring for his special cousin Lynn Carol Conway who resides at the Neff Road Nursing Home. He was a very thoughtful, caring, and loving individual. He is survived by his five siblings Wendy Ross (Marlon), of Houston, Texas, Brian Ackerman, Frederick Ackerman, Jr. (Virginia) of Trafalgar, Indiana, JoAnn Ackerman of Boca Raton, Florida, and Diane Ackerman of Flint, Michigan, and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary will forever be remembered by his beloved caretakers, Mr. Dale McClelland and Teresa McClelland-Sargent. The family thanks them deeply for all the love and care they have given our beloved brother Gary.
