Gary Lee Ward

Gary Lee Ward Age 75 of Sun City Center, FL peacefully went to the Lord in Detroit, Michigan on July 30, 2025 surrounded in love by his family. Gary was born in Morenci, MI on February 10, 1950 to Gene and Adele (Burnham) Ward. He grew up in Michigan where he loved the outdoors and fishing. He had fond childhood memories of summer days on Houghton Lake. Gary attended Western Michigan University and worked for over 30 years at AC Spark Plug (GM Delphi Plant) in Flint, Michigan. Gary married the love of his life, Debbie Ward (Laski), on September 9, 1978 in Flint, Michigan. He was a loving and dedicated husband for 46 years. He was the world’s greatest dad to his two children Geoff and Niki. He was also lovingly known as Bubba to his five grandchildren who love and adore him.

Above all else, Gary was a faithful servant to the Lord and the living testament of Jesus Christ. He never shied away from sharing God’s Love and Word with others and was a devoted student of the Word. His testimony and love for the Lord shined all the way to his last Earthly breath and will continue to shine in his death through his family and friends. Gary wishes in his memory for all to continue to study and learn the peace that comes with a personal relationship with Christ and through salvation.

Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie Ward, children, son, Geoff (Erin), daughter, Niki (Tony), his five grandchildren, Emary, Kylee, Logan, Hadley and Hunter, brother, Mike (Penny) and many other extended family members.

Gary was preceded in death by Gene and Adele Ward (parents).

A visitation for Gary will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Doug Stockwell will officiate the service.
