

Magidsohn, Jack Leland age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9th with his family by his side. Jack was born in Flint, Michigan on January 4, 1925 to Sam and Beatrice Magidsohn. Beloved husband of Rita for almost 58 years. Loving father of David (Paget), Karen (Terry Mooney) and Michael (Jane). Grandfather of Anne, Theresa (Calvin), Sam, Rosemary and Maria. Jack graduated from Flint Central H.S. and attended The University of Michigan until he began serving our country in the U.S. Navy. Jack served aboard the USS Rawls as a Quarter Master. Upon returning to Flint he married the love of his life Rita. He owned and operated Ray Kerns of Flint Beauty Supply for 40 years before passing the business onto his sons. Jack loved to bowl and play golf and was a staunch U of M football supporter. Jack loved watching his John Wayne movies (some more than others). He was a lifelong member of Temple Beth El. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Rita, and his sister Irene Sarver. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12th at 1:00pm at Temple Beth El, 5150 Calkins Rd., Flint, MI 48532 with burial at Machpelah Cemetery, with visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Shiva will be observed Monday and Tuesday nights at the home of Michael and Jane Magidsohn at 6228 Lake Waldon Ct. in Clarkston. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donation be made to Temple Beth El. Arrangements made by Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI.
