

HAGGART, James A., Jr., age 74, of Davison, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Brian’s House in Davison. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, April 26, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint Street in Davison, with Pastor Todd I. Frusti and Deacon Dan Zudel officiating. Interment will be made at Flint Memorial Park. Mr. Haggart will lie in state at the church Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. James was born on April 5, 1936 in Flint, son of the late James A. and Charlotte (Shank) Haggart, Sr. He grew up in and attended schools in Flint. On August 3, 1957 Jim married his high school sweetheart Carolyn Louise Hepner. He began his working career at Buick Motors, worked at Chevrolet Frame and Stamping, and retired from Product Engineering at AC Spark Plug in 1992 following 36 years of service with General Motors. Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison and also served in the Michigan National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; children Mike Haggart and wife Fran of Port Huron, Gary Haggart of Hamburg, and Linda Johnson and husband Todd of Memphis, TN. Also surviving are his grandchildren Erik Ziegenbein, James Ziegenbein, Frank Ziegenbein, Amy Haggart, Sarah Haggart, Hayla Johnson, and Hope Johnson, along with four nieces.
