Hey daddy,
I didn't realize that I never really got around to signing this when I should have. I guess my mind was somewhere else. It's coming up to the one year mark and I miss you like crazy. I haven't really talked to anyone about it or anything, mainly because they don't understand. Everyone feels something different. You are my dad, and my best friend. I don't really have your advice anymore, although I can remember ever single lecture that was given to me. Some were terrible to sit through, others not so much. Just know that I miss you so much, and I think about you every day. I love you daddy. I am and always will be your little girl<3

It's coming up on a year and it still isn't any easier. I miss you so much. I miss all of your advice even when I didn't want to hear it. I should have listened to you more and not had so much of that Kennedy stubbornness in me. I wish you were still here. I find myself thinking what would you do in a lot of situations and trying to do that. Believe it or not I still remember all of our talks, all the advice, and all the times you just made me laugh. A lot of your sayings have stuck with me. I say them all the time and I always make sure to give you the credit. I miss sitting around the fire just hanging out, all the cook outs, the phone calls, words of encouragement, and honestly I just miss you! March 10 was a horrible day but I make sure to keep you alive in my heart and I still try to make you proud of me each and everyday. You were a wonderful person. One of the best I have ever met. Seeing how many peoples lives you impacted was amazing. To sit and tell all the stories about you would take years but nothing makes me happier then hearing something about you. I love you and each and every day I am happy because it's one more day closer to seeing you again. You were more important to me then you know and I regret not ever telling you so. I love you and miss you everyday <3

How do you find the words to describe someone when there is'nt any that seem to do them justice? I am heartbroken at the loss of one of the greatest people that I have ever known and who was a very special part of our family. Jim helped me tremendously by talking to me and saying "Marcie, you need to do this...." "Marcie, you need to try this....". I valued as well as respected his opinion so much and I always seemed to feel better after our talks. He was wise and bigger than life to me with a very infectous laugh that could always get you laughing with him! He would tell you things you might not of wanted to hear but he would be honest with you and I highly respected him for that. I miss him dearly but he will always have a place in my heart and I will keep the many many happy memories that he gave us with me for always:) To all who knew and loved him, just remember you have a very special ANGEL looking out for you now!! 
To Annie, Brittany, and Tyler, I love you so very much and we will be here for you for always.

I really don't even know where to begin so I will start by saying just how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I think that people take things for granted....I know I did. If I knew then what I know now....I would have done a better job of making sure we got together for dinner, etc. I would have never said everytime we spoke on the phone Annie, "hey we need to get together!" Honestly you just never think that the next time won't come. I am deeply sorry for that....sorry that I will never again get the chance to hear Jim's laughter as he always messed with me. I will NEVER forget his sense of humor especially his voice in the background when we were on the phone always throwing in his two cents to our conversation as if he were on the phone. And omg the amount of no bake cookies he could eat! Honestly where did he put them? The many canoe trips are just an example of some of the fun we always had when we got together. The ski trip when it took Jim two hours to get down that bunny hill lol and to think he thought he could take Brittany down the hill. That is Jim alright! How about Walloon Lake and Jeff and Jim crashing on the waverunners...Annie, I really thought you were going to go into Labor and have Tyler that day! New Year's Eve parties at Jill and Dougs, freezing up north when the furnace broke and all of us dressing our kids in their snow gear to sleep! I remember coming to your home and Jim cooking great dinners for us (along with your help Annie) I remember joining you and Jim's entire family for the parades in Burton! I can go on and on about the memories I have of Jim...every single time I saw you guys or talked to you on the phone...he never failed to make me laugh! I miss him! I've always missed you guys! Annie, Brittany, Tyler, and the whole family I am so sorry and I love all of you. My promise to all of you including Jim in heaven is to ALWAYS be there for you and not just be a phone call away. If I have learned anything from the loss of Jim, a great and dear friend who I have always thought of as family, it is to quit saying let's get together and to just do it!

Jimmy was a great husband, son, uncle, father and friend! I pray that I can be half of the parent and friend that he was to us. He was not only our friend, but family to us. My children came to know him as uncle Jimmy and always looked forward to him coming home. We were fortunate to know him and have been blessed to have him in our life. His heart was full of kindness and love for everyone. He took people in and helped those in need; even those who were begging on street corners in Las Vegas. We will cherish his contagious laugh, his big dreams, bon fires, famous Jimmy BBQ ribs, camping, $6 tacos, Venus Rising, Double Dutch Bus, fried twinkies, sledding, getting lost in Vegas and so many more good times.

You are all in our thoughts, hearts and our prayers. Know that we are here for you now and always!

I remember Jim well from my teenage years. Rollerskating on the weekends at Rollhaven and hanging out over at Kay & Brenda's house. He was a really nice, friendly guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim's family.

To all the Kennedy Family. I'm very sorry for your loss of Jimmy. I didn't know Jimmy well, but heard many stories about him and my dad(Tom Tufford) from when they were kids. Dad would tell me about all the fun they would have as kids, hanging out together at Great Grandpa and Grandma's house in Flint. Dad truely loved Jimmy cause he's the cousin I heard the most about as a kid, myself. They were always great childhood stories. I lost my dad, Thomas Tufford in 2006 and my Grandma Sandra Tufford a couple yrs later, and know how hard the pain is to lose someone so special in our hearts. The pain fades, but never goes away. i remember mostly his laugh, his smile, his kindness, his love for his family, his love for his friends, his generousity.  i remember watching him in parades (during his high school years), playing the drums, and he was awesome i might add.  i remember sitting in the car with g'ma ruth, waiting for him after games, school, etc.  when i was younger, i spent a lot of time with g'ma ruth, papa, and jimmy.  he was almost like a big brother to me when i was younger.  
i think if he could tell us all one last thing, it would be......
alright, now cut it out already.  wipe your tears away.  i will always be in your hearts, and that's where i plan to stay. i think this is what he might say to the ones closest to him......
 
dad....i love you, i probably didn't say that as often as i should have, but i do, and i know that you love me too.
mom....you are all that i could have ever asked for in a mother. you loved me unconditionally, and you put up with me, even at my worst (i think he'd be giggling at this point). mom, i love you so much and i know that you loved me in return, again, unconditionally.  
brittany....my little girl. you are my sunshine, you are beautiful, smart, strong and i am so proud of you. i want you to keep on keeping on. oh, and brittany, i will be watching over you, so behave (with a little giggle).

tyler....you are a brave young man and i am so proud of you.  you are now the man of the house, so i need you to keep an eye on your sister and mom. try and make sure they are ok. also be there for grandma, she's gonna need you too. tyler, i love you son, continue to do good in scouts and move foreward.
my sweet anne.....you are the love of my life. we have had our ups and downs, but in the end, we always found our place, and that place was together.  there have been many obsticales throughout the years, and i'm sure that you were always right (of course, giggling again).  anne, i love you forever and always.  i want you to move foreward and i'll be in your heart forever. i love you.

these are just a few things that i think that if he could say, he would.  my uncle jimmy is definitly a one of a kind, and he will be missed by all who knew him, whether they seen him just a few times a year, or seen him daily.  he has impacted many lives and his memory will live on forever.
