Jeffrey Lynn Gasser

Jeffrey L. Gasser, age 60 of Clarkston, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Although born and raised in Toledo, OH, Jeff had lived in Clarkston, MI for the last half of his life. Jeff had many happy memories of his class and band mates from Roy C. Start High School (Class of 1974) in Toledo. He will always be remembered for his ever changing hobbies, his enjoyment for working on vehicles or anything mechanical, and his wicked sense of humor. Those of his friends and family who were recipients of his many pranks will have a hard time forgetting him. Jeff had recently gone on disability leave from his 33+ years of employment with Gordon Food Service, where he helped to train the “newbies” and provided excellent service for his customers, using his keen intelligence and technical skills. Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years, Amy (Bachelor) Gasser; his son Bill; his son’s wife, Amanda (Downs); his beloved grandchildren: Gracelyn (Gasser), Casey and Sadie McClellan); and his best friend for most of his life, Alan Ladd. He was preceded in death by his father Jacob, and his mother Geraldine (Byrd). In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service - friends and family are encouraged to meet, as possible, and share fun and happy memories.
