Joan had more hobbies than we could count. She was active in the community as a member of the Genesee County Republican Party, and member of the Oakland County Sportsman Club. A lover of music, she frequently enjoyed the Flint Symphony. She was a bee keeper, a great vegetable gardener, and a lover of animals. In 1990, she was selected as Homemaker of the Year at the Genesee County Fair. She was a golfer, enjoyed boating, and water skiing. Above all of her hobbies and ways to spend her time, her most favorite way was to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
