John Fredric Provost

PROVOST, JOHN F. age 66, and wife DEBBIE A. PROVOST age 62 both died Thursday, February 5, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with a Memorial Services at 6:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Reverend Heather Barta officiating. John was born August 17, 1948 in Flint, MI to parents Delbert and Ovenia (Beaulieu) Provost. Debbie was born October 10, 1952 in Barking, Essex, England to parents Stanley and Elizabeth (Rice) Phipps. John worked for Dupont for 27 years. John served in the Army Reserve and was a member of the Chippewa Indian Tribe. John enjoyed family time, working on cars and fishing. Debbie was being visited and comforted by family members who encouraged her to pursue her artistic talent even as she struggled with her illness. Her work remains her special legacy to family and friends. Debbie became a master gardener through the Michigan State Extension, and volunteering her time to beautification projects in the Flint area. Surviving are children Heather Segura and Richard Bayley; 4 grandchildren; brother; sisters nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephew. Contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Research.
