He was born on March 15, 1945 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John and Catherine (Connelly) Thorndycraft. He was a long time member of the Birmingham Lions Club and enjoyed motorcycles, building models of trains and airplanes, and playing in multiple pool leagues. John was often found outdoors, golfing and fishing.
John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patti Jo; daughter, Bobbi; son, Jonathon; brother, Jim; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will greet guests from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Rd., Grand Blanc.
