

Linda Gail Brownleaf was born in Flint, Michigan on November 11th, 1953, to William and Bobbie Weatherford. She grew up in Burton, Michigan and graduated from Atherton Highschool in 1971. She began working with General Motors in 1976 where she met her future husband, Robert Brownleaf. They fell in love and were married in November of 1977. She continued to work for GM until she retired in 2006. She was involved with the UAW and served under her mother as vice president until 2021. Even after the loss of her mother Linda continued to participate in UAW events and serve where needed. Linda was an active member of the Red Hats society before the age of 50 where she participated as a “Pink Hatter” and graduated to a “Red Hatter” 2003. She continued to attend meetings and events with the Red Hat society until approximately one year before the time of her death.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brownleaf, her parents William and Bobbie Weatherford, her brother William Weatherford Jr., and his wife Anne Weatherford. She is survived by her daughters Cori Abrams (Derrick), and Teaa Alway (Levi), Felicia Sumler, Catrina Lee; twelve grandchildren, Deha Brownleaf, Modest Sumler, Dominick Abrams (Jazmine), Dvonte Sumler, Destiny Abrams, Desire Abrams, Alana Brownleaf, Daisha Abrams, Christian Jones, Levi Alway, Aleah Jones, and Jordan Alway; one great grandson Derrick Abrams II, and special sisters Carol Paulk (Mickey), Chalotte Lott, Juanita Lukasavitz, Jerrie Bailey, and Cindy Duff, as well as many other friends too numerous to count.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday December 9th, 2025 at 12:00pm at Hill Funeral Home, located at 11723 S. Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation to begin at 11:00am. There will be a brief graveside prayer at 1:30pm at Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, Michigan, with re-pass immediately following at 2:00pm at VFW Post 822 located at 5065 Saginaw Rd. Grand Blanc Township, Michigan.
